The position
Machine. Tool. Process.
Your main focus is independently setting up our Bihler automatic stamping and bending machines as well as further equipment from Lafranconi and SCHAAL. Setting up involves not only the tool itself but also material feeds, bending and auxiliary units, and thread-forming or thread-cutting units. After setup, you start up the machine and inspect the first parts against the drawing and inspection plan. If dimensions or functions are not yet right, you analyse the cause systematically: is an adjustment to the machine or process parameters enough, or does a punch, a bend or another tool component need to be modified? You describe and discuss any necessary tool modifications directly with our in-house toolmaking department. After the modification, you put the tool back into operation and check the result. You are then responsible for a stable series process that meets the quality requirements.

- 01Independently set up and adjust complex automatic stamping and bending machines and presses
- 02Install, align and adjust tools, material feeds, bending units and auxiliary units
- 03Set machine and process parameters and start up equipment in a controlled manner
- 04Support initial sampling and production approvals based on drawings and inspection plans
- 05Analyse dimensional and quality deviations and distinguish between process-related and tool-related causes
- 06Agree necessary tool corrections with our in-house toolmaking department and then verify them
- 07Monitor, stabilise and continuously optimise ongoing series processes
- 08Rectify faults and carry out minor maintenance, servicing and repair work
- 09Document setup, process and inspection results in a traceable way
What you bring
Experience. Process understanding. Personal responsibility.
Ideally, you have completed an apprenticeship as a stamping and forming mechanic. Toolmakers, industrial mechanics or skilled workers from a comparable metalworking trade who have experience in setting up complex production equipment are equally welcome. Experienced setters from other technical production areas can also learn stamping and bending technology with us. What matters is that you do not just operate a machine but understand tool, process and quality as one interconnected system.

- 01Completed technical vocational training, preferably as a stamping and forming mechanic, toolmaker or industrial mechanic
- 02Experience in setting up stamping, bending or comparable production equipment
- 03Experience with Bihler or Lafranconi machines is an advantage but not a requirement
- 04Good understanding of tools, mechanics and automated production processes
- 05Confident handling of technical drawings, inspection plans and measuring equipment
- 06Ability to analyse dimensional deviations and faults systematically
- 07A careful, reliable and self-directed way of working
- 08Strong quality awareness
- 09Team spirit and willingness to work closely with toolmaking and quality assurance
